Looks like Jeb's not going to make it this week, but Gerry is OK, so it's pretty much a full house chez Williamson. Ian and I are golfing and will have had a meal and Gary is travelling back from Edinburgh avec femme and will probably have eaten too, so that just leaves Dave, Andy, Gerry, Colin and Malcolm to be fed. I presume Dave and Malcolm will be playing football first of all, so Dave won't be home until 7:15 - 7:30 pm, which may be a little late to be starting a BBQ? Your call guys - BBQ or curry?
Those of us not playing football can meet up in the Douglas just before 7 pm, for a swift beer.
We have a lot of music to get through if we are to finish at a decent hour (i.e. before GAG goes home), so I would quite like us to have started headbanging before 8 pm, if possible. With Jeb's chosen topics carried over again, the line-up for Friday looks like being:
- Obituaries (13 clips to date, lasting 51 minutes)
- Septuagenarians (6 = 25 mins)
- Birthday boys (9, 35)
- 50 Years of Rock (50, 193)
That's 78 video clips lasting just over 5 hours. Even allowing for some fast forward rejects, it'll still take us past midnight, so the sooner we start, the sooner we finish.
The last category features one video shot in each year from 1962 to 2011 inclusive. They will not be played in date order and your job will be to guess the year when the recording was made - and there are a few curve balls thrown in to make sure you're not nodding off!
