You'll all be pleased to know that I went to Jeb's on Wednesday and we sorted out the technical issues (we hope), so it's all systems go for next Friday night's headbang - our first in Culter. When we opened up the projector bag, which had been sitting in CK's garage since Dave passed it over, we were missing a critical multi-pin cable connecting the laptop to the projector, but Jeb has temporarily resolved this issue by stealing one of Dylan's (not Zimmerman) cables. We will buy a permanent replacement before next Friday.
We have not as yet, however, tested the wi-fi at Jeb's to see whether the planned Skype link-up with Dave is going to work or not - we'll just wing it next Friday.
Jeb, Ian and presumably Malcolm (?) will be going straight to Jeb's from footy, so that leaves Colin, Andy, Steve, Gerry and Gary travelling from the Banchory area, I think? Is Stan the Man doing his shift again, Gerry, or should we organise a taxi?
I suggest the Banchory clan meet for a swift beer in the Douglas at 6:30, with a view to being on the road about 7 pm, to arrive at Jeb's at a time coinciding with the others.
Jeb is considering getting the curries from one of the Culter Indians - no final decision on this yet, but Jeb will let us know in due course.
BYOB of course!
Other than that, all there is to report is yet another Obit - Kevin Ayers - number 19 so far. If you want to know a bit more about him before hearing him next Friday, here's the Times' obituary:
