Music news - and quiz

From http://banchoryheadbangers.blogspot.com/

This blog opens with a simple musical quiz to start the week:

  • Q. - Which well-known film star's famous opening/chat-up line became not just a famous 60's film title but also the name of a hit song by Tom Jones? He was also (allegedly) the subject of a number one song in 1972.
  • Too easy isn't it - but scroll to foot of blog for the answer if you're too young to know this.
A couple more musically connected Obituaries today:

Don''t worry - neither is Headbang material.

  • The answer to the simple quiz above is, of course, Warren Beatty. Carly Simon still won't officially confirm or deny that You're So Vain was written about him, but most of the world - including Warren Beatty himself - believes it was about him. What might not be known to everyone is his standard chat-up line in the 60's, which was What's New Pussycat?, inspiring the film whose title music was recorded by Tom Jones.
