Looks like we have almost a full attendance, barring CK, for the next Headbang two weeks today - both Steve and Malcolm have confirmed they will be around. We will not be connecting remotely to Dave this time, however, as he is otherwise engaged that day.
A name most of us have probably never heard of, but one that was fundamental to the birth of rock and roll, is Marshall Lytle, who was the original bass player in Bill Haley's Comets. His slap bass style almost single-handedly invented the rockabilly style, and he was famous for his acrobatics with his instrument, including twirling the double bass above his head. He died this week - read one of the Obituaries here - http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/obituaries/marshall-lytle-bass-player-with-bill-haleys-comets-dies-at-79/2013/05/30/4c0ab58e-c935-11e2-9f1a-1a7cdee20287_story.html and sample an early recording here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPAWVTBYm4M
