20 Best

The Times last week had a feature written by Bob Stanley (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Stanley_(Saint_Etienne)), ex Saint Etienne and author of Yeah Yeah Yeah; The Story of Modern Pop. He selected the 20 Best Bands, Lyrics, Guitarists, Voices and Love Songs respectively from Monday to Friday, then tried to justify his often controversial selections in an article on Saturday:

You couldn't argue with his first choice Bands, Guitarist or Voice:

However, his choice as Best Lyrics and Best Love Song were a little odd, I thought:

You could guess all you like and you would never figure out numbers 2-20 in each section. If you look above at who was second best Band (KLF - wtf!!!!) you'll know what I mean.
