Headbang results

First up, as ever, were the Obits - all already listed in the previous blog. The key feature was Gerry Goffin and we showed a medley of Goffin/King songs performed by Carole King and their two daughters back in 1988. Additionally, we played Aretha Franklin's (You make me feel like) A Natural Woman, The Animals' Don't bring me down and a clip from Easy Rider featuring the Byrds playing I wasn't born to follow.

There were only 3 other videos shown in the Obituary section:

  • Iggy & the Stooges - I wanna be your dog (Scott Asheton)
  • Jesse Winchester - You can't stand up alone (with Emmylou Harris & Bonnie Raitt)
  • Bob Dylan - Hurricane (Rubin "Hurricane" Carter)
On to the Septuagenarians and we played 8 of the 30 who qualified for this section and this was how the voting worked out:
