Down Under again

From http://banchoryheadbangers.blogspot.com/

Just missed the big Stevie Wonder outdoor gig at beautiful Sandalford Winery (http://www.sandalford.com/Upcoming-Events/stevie-wonder.html) at Margaret River, WA on Friday - the day we left to head back to Adelaide. We did attend our first Adelaide Fringe gig on Monday, however - A Journey Through the Past - basically an actor telling the story from Neil Young's father Scott's book about father/son relationships, interspersed with Neil's greatest hits. Great band and 3 super vocalists made it well worthwhile:

Adelaide is also host to the huge WOMAD world music festival which starts on Friday - the day we leave to go to Singapore on the first leg of our journey home. The parks are already fenced off with security patrolling everywhere - they must be expecting a massive crowd, and with the Fringe still going on, Adelaide is going to be a nightmare next week:

That's about all the music connections I've come across so far. On another note, Dave has suggested some dates for the next headbang. The May dates don't seem to suit everyone so the next alternatives are:

  • 22nd Jun
  • 6th July
The first is the date of the BVFG golf outing to Kemnay - but it's not impossible to do both the same day. The latter date is the evening before Ian and I drive down to Dumfries for our Summer Tour golf weekend - again, not impossible, but not really ideal either. Of the two, I have a preference for 22nd June. How's everyone else fixed on these two dates?
