Woodend Barn + Headbang reminder

CK and I were at Woodend Barn to see Roddy Woomble (http://www.roddywoomble.com/) last night. There was a support act -a singer/guitarist from the Hazey Janes (http://thehazeyjanes.com/) - forgotten his name already, but he was OK.

I didn't know a lot about Roddy - I didn't even remember much about Idlewild either, but he was pretty impressive. Nice setting too - set out in table format, with linen covers and candles - very pretty and nicely atmospheric.

Just 5 weeks until the next scheduled headbang on 22nd June (same day as golf outing). As far as I'm aware, we look like having a full house again - nobody has cancelled - not yet anyway! The number of significant Obituaries is still climbing - we already have 21 of them - judicious use of yellow cards may occasionally be required, although I've tried to make the videos we're showing as interesting as possible, whenever I could pick up suitable material.

I'm also trying to manage the available time as best we can when it comes to the other themes for the evening. Thanks especially to Andy this time for his many suggestions - although I've had to turn down a couple of his ideas, we will certainly be seasonably thematic and include Olympic Games and Regal Jubilee as 2 of the sections. We already have Colours carried over from the last Headbang and there will be some of the usual celebrations as well.The final line-up will be announced nearer the time and will at least be partly dependent on the apparently growing death rate amongst the ageing rock glitterati!
