Music weekend in London

From http://banchoryheadbangers.blogspot.com/

Down in London for the cricket, we made a number of music connections, starting with a box-ticking visit to Abbey Road on Saturday morning. We had to change tube lines and this presented another Headbang connection opportunity:

We made it to St. John's Wood - a name that automatically makes me want to burst into song - remember:

Your mother she's an heiress, owns a block in St John's Wood
And your father'd be there with her
If he only could
But don't play with me, cause you're playing with fire

We spotted another music connection for Andy to pose in front of:

Abbey Road was just a constant procession of tourists traversing the famous crossing:

We thought CK should have been barefoot here!

Just a few yards along the road was where musical history was made at the famous studios, opened by Sir Edward Elgar in 1931:

and lest there be any doubt where we were, another photo opportunity:

There was a small Beatles' souvenirs shop round the corner - strictly for anoraks only:

There's even a Beatles Coffee Shop attached to the tube station:

There's more - much more - of our music connections weekend to follow - watch this space.
