Final (?) Headbang Reminder

From http://banchoryheadbangers.blogspot.com/

Looks like a pretty full house for this Friday's Headbang - Gerry is away, but no other absentees notified yet, so there could/should be 9 of us present - Dave, me, Colin, Andy, Ian, Malcolm, Steve, Jeb and Gary. Let me know asap if any changes to this.

It's back to the curries again on Friday - I presume CK will do the honours once more? Usual arrangements - meet in the Douglas as soon as you can. There will be time for the ex-footballers to have a pint or two, but I would hope we could be out of the Douglas by about 7:30 pm, with a view to starting the fun by 8 pm. I presume Ian, Jeb and Malcolm will be playing football - and perhaps they can liaise transport to the Douglas/Dave's?

Dave, Colin and I are heading to Falkirk on Saturday to see the Jags, so we don't want it to be too late a night. I will probably drive to Dave's on Friday and leave my car there, if Dave can bring it back in the morning? I'll be able to take another 4 maximum - perhaps Andy, Colin and Steve could come with me (assuming Gary going directly), leaving the 3 footballers to co-ordinate transport?

Assuming no more late Obituaries, the (hopefully) final line-up for Friday is:

  1. Obituaries (14)
  2. Septuagenarians (12)
  3. Today's Birthdays (2)
  4. Woody Guthrie Centennial (1)
  5. Southern Rock (10)
  6. One Hit Wonders (10)
  7. Weather (10)
  8. Highways & Byways (10)
The Singing Drummers theme has had to be dropped for the second Headbang in a row, due to constraints of time, but there's still a total of 69 tracks to get through, with a full playing time of almost four and a half hours. Allowing for voting time and the use of some yellow cards, I hope we could finish not long after 12:30 am. Voting for the Top 3 tracks will, for a change, be done on the evening - as will votes for the Top Themes of the evening.

Happy headbanging.
