Headbang results

Good headbang last night - and thanks again to the Grants for hosting it. Hope Mel liked the flowers. Thanks also to Stan again for running (most of) us there and back - I know he will enjoy his long overdue bottle of vodka.

CK paid for the gifts and the curry and all we have to add to his bill is any taxi costs, which we agreed to pool. Send the details and we'll do the maths and the bank transfers.

It was a good idea to arrange the dining tables in such a way that we could eat and watch the videos, starting, as usual, with the Obituary section, which focussed primarily on 2 main artistes - Lou Reed and Phil Everly - with a quick nod to Gypie Mayo, Wilko's replacement in the Feelgoods (Milk and Alcohol) and Pete Seeger (If I Had a Hammer).

We played 4 songs each from both Lou Reed (Perfect Day, Sweet Jane, Satellite of Love & Waiting for the Man) and the Everlys (Wake up Little Susie, Cathy's Clown, Price of Love & Temptation) and then had a show of hands as to who would be most missed. Phil won this by 5 votes to 4.
