- Obituary - only 12 names on this so far, not all of whom will have a track played.
- Septuagenarians - 22 notables have achieved this milestone birthday since the last Headbang, but only 10 tracks will be played in this section.
- Xmas Number Ones - just 3 tracks here from 40 & 50 years ago.
- The return of Original v Cover. No Dylan or Beatles this time as we've already had separate themes of covers of those artistes' work. A few requests have been made for this section, but the other "rule" I imposed was that I had to be able to source a decent video of the "original" recording and not a recent re-hash by the same artistes. So 10 songs have been selected which means a total of 20 tracks played here, with everyone voting on which version was best. The decision still to be made is what is the playing order - do we play all the originals followed by the covers, or play one original and then the cover before moving on to the next one?
- Earth, Wind & Fire - a theme suggested by CK, but nothing to do with Boogie Wonderland. There are 9 tracks here - 3 featuring each of the elements.
- Black & White - a theme suggested by GAG - and, no, we won't be playing the Michael Jackson tune. A total of 20 tracks here - 10 of each and we'll vote on whether the Black tracks or the White tracks were best.
A pretty full programme - it would be good to get started sharpish.
