August 2016 "Best of" votes

We now have the votes in from the regular Headbangers who attended the last do and the result of the Best Themes was:

The low vote for the Obituary theme this time around merely reflects the lack of any really big names passing since the previous Headbang, when it was voted top theme - hardly surprising given that Bowie/Frey/Lemmy/Emerson/Martin were all included on that occasion.

When it came to the votes for Top Tracks, there were 12 nominations with each of 8 Headbangers present listing their 1st, 2nd & 3rd favourites. The outcome largely reflected the Reprise section on the evening:

Peter Gabriel was nominated by 5 of the 8 voters, 4 of whom put it in first place. It was a dead heat between Linda Ronstadt and Adele for second place, with each receiving 6 points from 3 Headbangers' votes.

We also appear to have a clear preference for the date of the next Headbang - 16th December is the only date where there are no objections, so stick this in your diary now.
