We are a group of rock music fans who meet three times a year to show rock music videos, played through a sound system and projected on to a screen. We also have a themed show on River Dee Radio (https://tunein.com/radio/River-Dee-Radio-s274232/) at 8 pm each night - tune in for some rock music history.

10th Virtual Headbang - 21st May, 2021
An equal record attendance of 12 - plus 2 onlookers - on Friday night for what was amazingly, now our 10th Headbang via Zoom since the initial lockdown in late March, 2020. The onlookers were Rob D's grandson and Steve's son, Eddie. Following the usual batting order, we started with the 'GENARIANS - firstly the SEPTUAGENARIANS. Here's the acts, tracks and votes:
Chris Frantz won the vote here. In addition to those above, another half dozen had reached 70 since the last Headbang:
Then came the Octogenarians:
I put together a series of medleys for each the above 4. Eric Burdon was the clear winner and he also won the 'GENARIANS "play-off" against Chris Frantz, the winner of the Septuagenarians section. Next was OBITUARIES and just 3 tracks were played:
No contest really - Jim Steinman's back catalogue won him the vote. Other Obituaries in the last 6 weeks were:
The third theme was PRISON SONGS:
A runaway victory for Lee, Wilko and the boys. Now for the main event - the 4th time for the HEADBANGERS' JUKEBOX. As we did last time around it was played as 4 quarter finals, 2 semis and the final. Here's all the details:
To finish off the evening, another LETTERMAN LIVE:
Perhaps a slightly surprising result as Tracey Chapman's solo acoustic rendition of the old Ben E. King classic won convincingly against some pretty strong competition, with all 6 contenders gaining votes. A quick snapshot of everyone's favourite theme showed:
The Jukebox seems to have won itself a pretty permanent place in future Headbangs.
