We are a group of rock music fans who meet three times a year to show rock music videos, played through a sound system and projected on to a screen. We also have a themed show on River Dee Radio (https://tunein.com/radio/River-Dee-Radio-s274232/) at 8 pm each night - tune in for some rock music history.

Virtual Headbang 13.5 - 4th Dec 21
Storm Arwen put paid to the original scheduled date of the previous Friday but despite some continuing difficulties - particularly for Dave - 9 of us were in attendance for last night's Headbang. For the usual start - 'GENARIANS - all Octogenarians this time - I had set up a slightly changed poll allowing 2 votes per person, but some pressed "submit" before reading the question, producing the slightly skewed results below:
Other Octogenarians were noted:
Then the Septuagenarians:
Just 3 tracks were played for the recently passed:
Other recent Obituaries:
The 3rd theme - SAX SOLOS - involved a double scoring system - 2 votes each for best track and also 2 votes for the best Sax Solos:
Pink Floyd was clearly the most favoured track but Bobby Keys won the best solo. The next theme was the HEADBANGERS JUKEBOX (8), played in the usual Qtr Final, Semi Final, Final knock-out basis. Winners of the first round were Dire Straits, Cate Le Bon, Mona Lisa Twins and Richard Hawley (on my casting vote), leading to a final between Dire Straits and Mona Lisa Twins, which the latter act won:
Time now for the team photo:
Three short themes left, the first of which, in the season of Guy Fawkes was, appropriately, REVOLUTION:
Also, after COP 26, another seasonally inspired theme - ENVIRONMENT:
The final theme was FRUIT-Y:
